Pennsylvania Residents May Qualify for $1,300 Vehicle Repossession Settlement
Pennsylvania consumers whose vehicles were repossessed by Peoples Security Bank & Trust between 2008 and 2017 may be entitled to a cash payment of approximately $1,300 through a class action settlement.
Individuals may qualify if they:
- Had a Pennsylvania address, and
- Financed a motor vehicle through Peoples Security Bank & Trust or Peoples Financial Services or had their consumer loan or installment sales contract assigned to either institution, and
- Experienced a vehicle repossession between Sept. 15, 2008, and Nov. 7, 2017.
Eligible class members do not need to submit a claim form—payments will be issued automatically.
Special Instructions for Co‑Borrowers and Estates
- Co‑borrowers who want the payment divided differently must send a signed written request to the settlement administrator.
- If the borrower is deceased, the legal representative, executor, or administrator of the estate must submit a written request along with documentation to redirect the payment.
